For music publishers

Your sheet music. Your terms. A new route to choirs.

Choirs plan their rehearsals, dates and concerts in Chorilo and always have their sheet music with them. In the Chorilo Sheet Music Shop they buy your titles exactly where they work with them.

You set prices, discounts and minimum quantities. Chorilo applies them, handles every purchase automatically and makes sure each copy can be traced to exactly one member. Hal Leonard is already on board.

Your terms

You decide price, discount, minimum quantity and countries.

Licence with an ID

One copy per member, publicly verifiable.

Everything automatic

Catalogue, orders and billing run without any work from you.

Promote titles

New releases and sets featured prominently in the shop.

Terms

You set the terms

As with any retailer: you decide the conditions, Chorilo sticks to them. Automatically, with every purchase.

List price, trade discount, minimum order, the countries where a title may be sold: it all comes from you. Chorilo carries your settings into the shop. A choir can only buy what your rules allow. If you change a price or withdraw a title, that applies in Chorilo too.

We don't negotiate your margin and we don't impose a price model of our own. You stay in charge of your catalogue. We make it reachable for choirs where they already work.

Minimum on the first order, single copies after that

  1. 1

For each title you decide how many copies a choir has to take on its first purchase, for example ten. Below that, the shop doesn't allow a purchase.

  2. 2

After that you can allow single copies to be reordered. When a new member joins, the choir buys exactly one more copy instead of another full minimum. When all copies are assigned, Chorilo automatically reminds the choir director. That is a sale that would never have happened otherwise: the choir doesn't copy, it reorders.

Licence model

More security than a PDF in circulation

In the sheet music trade, a file is often sent out in the hope that it never leaves the choir. At Chorilo, every copy sold is tied to a choir and a member and can be checked at any time.

Every licence has its own ID

Every purchase is tied to a choir, and every member gets their own licence number. It shows which choir bought which title, when and in what quantity. Every page of sheet music states which choir it was bought for, in print too.

Public licence check

Anyone can check a licence number at chorilo.com/verify-license: you yourselves, organisers or collecting societies. One look shows whether the licence is valid and which choir it belongs to.

One copy, one member

Chorilo assigns each copy sold to exactly one member, and only at the moment they open the sheet music. If the choir has more singers than copies, they carry on after a reorder. Overbooking is impossible.

Your file stays with you

When we connect to your system, the file isn't stored at Chorilo. The app fetches it from you, and only for members with a valid licence. If you cancel an order, access ends immediately.

Paid first, ordered second

An order only reaches you once the choir's payment has arrived. If a payment is reversed, Chorilo withdraws the licences automatically.

Every access is recorded

Chorilo logs who opened which sheet music and when. If there are questions about a licence, the answers are there.

Automation

Everything automated. No extra work.

You keep maintaining your catalogue the way you always have. Chorilo gets what it needs by itself.

  • The catalogue keeps itself up to date

Chorilo picks up new titles, changed prices and country restrictions from your system every night. Nothing to maintain twice.

  • Orders run by themselves

As soon as a choir has paid, the order goes to you automatically and the sheet music is available to the choir right away.

  • No customer service for you

Chorilo answers choirs' questions about purchase, access and use. You get no extra enquiries.

  • Settlement on your terms

You send us the statement the way you're used to with retailers, for example once a month. We pay.

  • No system of your own? No problem.

If you don't have digital distribution, we take care of importing your catalogue from Excel or your publishing database, free of charge.

A new sales channel

An extra sales channel, right in the rehearsal

Choirs rarely look for new pieces in a catalogue. They look when the next concert is being planned. That is exactly where Chorilo is.

Buy where you rehearse

Choir directors find your titles in the sheet music shop of the same app in which they plan rehearsals and concerts. Your publishing house appears as a filter of its own, and your titles sit on equal footing with all the others.

Bought means ready to use

A purchased title goes straight into the choir's sheet music folder and can be attached to dates. Every member has the sheet music on their own device, offline too.

Your titles in programme suggestions

When a choir director asks for a programme suggestion for a date, Chorilo can include fitting titles from the shop, yours too.

Buy legally instead of copying

Many choirs want to work legally but are put off by the effort and minimum quantities. With Chorilo, buying is easier than copying. These are sales that wouldn't have happened otherwise.

Visibility

Promote titles and sets

Want to put a title in the spotlight at the right time? Together with you, we feature it in the shop.

Featured titles

New releases or pieces that fit the moment appear in a prominent place in the shop.

Sets and collections

Several titles can be bundled into a collection, for example for Advent, a spring concert or a wedding, and then appear together on the shop's home page.

Your publishing house as a brand

Your publisher name is visible and filterable in the shop. Choirs that value your catalogue find all your titles with one click.

Costs

€0

No extra fees

No setup costs, no base fee, no cost per listed title and no cost for the connection. You pay nothing for having your sheet music sold on Chorilo.

Like any retailer, we earn from the terms you grant us. If a title doesn't sell, it costs you nothing.

Integration

How the connection works

Write us a few lines on who you are, how big your catalogue is and whether you already sell digitally to retailers. Together we clarify your terms and how to connect, we set everything up and test the first purchase with you. After that, sales run by themselves.

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions

What does the connection cost us?
Nothing. There are no setup costs, no base fee and no cost per title. Chorilo earns from the terms you grant us as a retailer.
Who sets the prices?
You do. Chorilo applies your list prices, discounts, minimum quantities and country restrictions and sticks to them with every purchase.
Can choirs reorder single copies after the first purchase?
If you allow it, yes. Your minimum applies to the first purchase, after that the choir can reorder single copies, for example for a new member.
Is our file stored at Chorilo?
Not when we connect to your system. The sheet music is fetched from you, and only for members with a valid licence. If you don't have digital distribution, we provide the sheet music with a personal mark for each member.
How do we know whether a choir has a valid licence?
Through the licence number on the sheet music. You can check it at any time at chorilo.com/verify-license.
Who looks after choirs when they have questions?
Chorilo. Questions about purchase, access and use come to us, not to you.
Do you already work with publishers?
Yes. Hal Leonard is already on board, and the titles are in the Chorilo Sheet Music Shop.
We are a small publisher without our own online sales. Does it still work?
Yes. We import your catalogue from Excel or your publishing database free of charge and take care of making it available.
