Who belongs to the choir – and who belongs to it
External contacts
Venues, sponsors, your bank, insurers, guest musicians: kept in an address book with tags – a contact can be both "bank" and "sponsor" at the same time –, linked to invoices and bookings, and found again through search and filters. Only members with the view contacts permission have access.

- Custom fields like music stand number, T-shirt size or member number, each with its own visibility.
- Import from CSV or Excel with a template, column mapping and duplicate detection by email address.

- What does Chorilo cost for board members and treasurers?

- Is the cashbook GoBD-compliant?
- Yes, for German associations. Chorilo produces a complete GoBD export as a DATEV CSV or GoBD XML file, together with every receipt as a PDF and an index file that links each booking to its receipt. An audit log keeps every change traceable.
- How does moving from Excel or another program work?
- Send us your Excel sheet or your export, and we migrate the data for free within 48 hours. Members, contacts and your cashbook history are then ready to use in Chorilo.
- Who on the board can see what?
- You set permission groups yourself: cashbook, contacts and member data can be granted separately to the board, treasurer or other roles. Regular members don't see the association's finances by default.
- Are closed minutes really unchangeable?
- Yes. Once minutes are closed in the board module, they can no longer be edited or deleted. That creates a record the whole board can rely on.
- Do we need a bank connection, or does it work without one?
- The PSD2 bank connection is optional and currently available for German bank accounts. Without it you enter bookings by hand; with it, Chorilo fetches transactions daily, automatically and read-only, and your login details never reach Chorilo.
