Verify License

Check the validity of a sheet music license

You can find the choir name and license ID on the right side of your licensed sheet music.

What is license verification?

With this function you can check if a sheet music license is valid:

  • Enter the choir name and UUID from the right side of your sheet music
  • The system checks the license status
  • You'll see if the license is active or has been revoked

Why is License Verification Important?

Verifying sheet music licenses is an essential part of modern copyright protection in the music industry. Our license verification system provides transparency and legal security for all parties involved.

Copyright Protection

Composers and arrangers invest significant time and creativity in their works. Licensed sheet music ensures that their work is properly compensated and copyright is maintained.

Transparency for Everyone

Our verification system allows anyone to check the validity of a license. This creates trust between composers, publishers, and choirs, and promotes fair treatment of intellectual property.

Legal Security for Choirs

Through license verification, choirs can prove they are authorized to perform specific sheet music. This protects against legal issues and provides security during concerts and performances.

How License Verification Works

Verifying a sheet music license is simple and takes only a few seconds. Follow these steps:

1

Find License Information

Every licensed sheet music from Chorilo contains a unique license code (UUID) on the right side, along with the name of the licensed choir or ensemble.

2

Enter Data

Enter the choir name and UUID in the form above. Both details must match exactly to verify the license.

3

Check Result

The system immediately shows you whether the license is valid, when it was assigned, and which sheet music it applies to. For invalid licenses, the revocation date is also displayed.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens with an invalid license?

An invalid license means it has either been revoked or never existed. In this case, the corresponding sheet music may no longer be performed. Contact Chorilo support for more information.

How long are licenses valid?

By default, Chorilo licenses are valid indefinitely as long as the choir is active. However, licenses can be revoked if terms of use are violated or the choir returns the license.

Can I transfer licenses to another choir?

No, licenses are permanently bound to the licensed choir and cannot be transferred. If a choir dissolves or merges with another ensemble, please contact support.

Why do I need to enter the choir name?

The choir name serves as an additional security layer. Only those who know both the UUID and the correct choir name can verify the license. This prevents misuse and protects privacy.
