What is digital sheet music management?
Digital sheet music management means organising a choir’s entire score library centrally and electronically instead of in paper folders and photocopies. Every piece lives as PDF, MusicXML or audio in one library, searchable by title, composer, tag and category, assigned to individual voices and available on every device. In Chorilo, every choir manages its scores this way — with PDF annotations that stay in sync across devices, offline access and unlimited storage on both plans.
What does sheet music management in Chorilo offer?
- Central library: every piece with title, composer, category and tags in one place — as a list or tile view, sortable by title, composer, date added or last rehearsed.
- Multiple formats: PDF, MusicXML and audio recordings — all bundled in the same piece.
- Voice assignment: assign works to individual voices (soprano, alto, tenor, bass or mixed) and make them visible selectively, so not everyone sees everything.
- PDF annotations: mark up the score directly; annotations sync in real time across web, tablet and phone and remain available offline.
- Tags and filters: group pieces by concert, programme, style or your own criteria — tag several pieces at once.
- Linked to events: attach scores to rehearsals and concerts so everyone knows what is being practised.
- Voice trainer: render individual voices from MusicXML as practice audio and transpose them. More about the voice trainer.

Frequently asked questions about sheet music management
How many scores can I store?
There is no upper limit and no storage cap. Both Chorilo plans (monthly and annual) include unlimited storage — you can upload as many pieces, voices and audio recordings as you like.
Which file formats are supported?
You can upload PDF, MusicXML and audio files. MusicXML files can additionally be used as a source in the voice trainer.
Do the scores work offline?
Yes. Scores and their PDF annotations are available on tablet and phone even without internet. As soon as a connection is restored, changes sync automatically across all devices.
Does every member see all scores?
By default every member sees all scores of the ensembles they belong to. You can, however, assign pieces specifically to certain voices or roles, so not everyone sees everything.
