Werkcharakter: A-cappella-Chorsatz Polyphones „Klagestück“ aus dem Credo-Text: Crucifixus etiam pro nobis sub Pontio Pilato; passus et sepultus est. („Gekreuzigt wurde er auch für uns unter Pontius Pilatus; er litt und wurde begraben.“) Diese Worte markieren im Messordinarium den dramatischsten Inhalt: das Leiden Christi. Besetzungen (mehrere Versionen!) Antonio Lotti hat gleich mehrere „Crucifixus“-Sätze komponiert: Besetzung Bemerkung 8-stimmig (SSAATTBB) die bekannteste, am häufigsten aufgeführte Version 10-stimmig prachtvoller, noch dichter 12-stimmig selten aufgeführt, höchst kunstvoll Alle arbeiten jedoch extrem klagend mit Chromatik und harmonischer Spannung. Musikalische Merkmale: Generalbasssatz wird oft ausgelassen (rein vokal), aber im Ursprung meist mit Basso continuo gedacht Starker Einsatz von: chromatischen Linien (Abstieg = Schmerz) Vorhalten & Dissonanzen (Spannung, Leid) Seufzermotiven (tiefe emotionale Gestik) Langsame, schwere Harmonik-Schritte Ausdruck: barocker Affekt in höchster Verdichtung Wirkung: erschütternd, bluternst, meditativ Lotti verbindet hier Venezianische Klangpracht mit einer fast schon vorromantischen Expressivität. Schwierigkeitsgrad: Anspruchsvoll Herausforderungen: Intonation in enger Chromatik Klangbalance in vielen Mittelstimmen Atemführung in langen, fließenden Linien Am besten für gut geschulte Chöre oder Vokalensembles geeignet. Understanding the voicing: SSAATTBB▾
The voicing tells you which vocal parts your choir will need to sing.
- SATBSoprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass — the classic mixed choir.

- TTBBFour men's voices: two tenors and two basses.

Understanding difficulty levels▾
The difficulty level gives you a feel for how many rehearsals your choir should plan for.
- BeginnerClear rhythms, familiar keys and singable intervals — works for young or newly formed choirs.
- MediumFor an experienced choir; some chromatic passages, key or metre changes. Around 6–10 rehearsals for a clean performance.

Per-singer licence Current model
One licence per singer. Scales fairly with ensemble size; many pieces include volume discounts.
Minimum quantity: 20 licences.
Ensemble flat-rate
One fixed price per ensemble. All current and future members get access, no matter how the choir grows.
The licence covers rehearsing and performing through Chorilo. External performance rights (e.g. GEMA, PRS — where applicable) remain unaffected.
