Description
Dieses wunderschöne Advent/Weihnachtslied hat seinen Ursprung im Baskenland des 13.-14. Jahrhunderts. Es erzählt die Geschichte Mariens von der Verkündigung des Engels Gabriel bis hin zur Geburt in der Krippe. Es war mir bisher nur bekannt in einer englischsprachigen Form unter dem Titel "The Angel Gabriel", in einer Vertonung von Edgar Pettmann (1865-1924) für gemischten Chor. Es wird in England viel gesungen so auch vom Kings College, Cambridge (siehe Verlinkung). Für mein Männerensemble habe ich es für TTBB arrangiert und einem singbaren deutschen Text versehen. Die dynamischen Angaben gelten nur für die erste Strophe. Ich würde jede Strophe dynamisch anders gestalten. Das ergibt sich fast von alleine parallel zum Text.

Understanding the voicing: TTBB▾
The voicing tells you which vocal parts your choir will need to sing.

Understanding difficulty levels▾
The difficulty level gives you a feel for how many rehearsals your choir should plan for.

Per-singer licence Current model
One licence per singer. Scales fairly with ensemble size; many pieces include volume discounts.
Minimum quantity: 20 licences.
Ensemble flat-rate
One fixed price per ensemble. All current and future members get access, no matter how the choir grows.
The licence covers rehearsing and performing through Chorilo. External performance rights (e.g. GEMA, PRS — where applicable) remain unaffected.
