Carl Amand Mangold – „Wanderers Nachtlied“ op. 25 Nr. 2 für Männerchor (TTBB) Dieses Werk ist Teil von Mangolds Opus 25, einer Sammlung von Männerchorstücken aus den 1840er Jahren. Die Vertonung gehört zu seinen bekannteren weltlichen Männerchören, auch wenn sie heute eher selten im Konzertprogramm zu finden ist. Stil und Aufbau: Mangold bleibt dem geistig-meditativen Charakter des Goethe-Gedichts treu: homophoner Satz – alle Stimmen bewegen sich überwiegend gemeinsam subtile Klangschattierungen statt großer Kontraste sanfte Chromatik, die die nächtliche Stimmung verstärkt diatonische Ruhepunkte, die das „Über-all-ruh“-Motiv musikalisch einfrieren Besonders markant ist die sorgsame Textausdeutung: „…warte nur, balde ruhest du auch“ wird harmonisch behutsam gedehnt und endet in einem sehr stillen, atmenden Schluss – typisch für Mangolds psychologisch feines Verständnis des Gedichts. Chorische Anforderungen: Gute Intonationssicherheit, insbesondere in den leisen Passagen Ausgeglichenheit der Mittelstimmen (vor allem Tenor II und Bariton), damit der Chor nicht „kopflastig“ wirkt Langer Atem und kontrollierte Phrasenführung Wirkung im Programm: Ein ideales Werk… …als ruhiger Kontrast in einem gemischten Konzertprogramm …zum Ende eines Blocks oder als meditativer Abschluss …in Kirchen oder Räumen mit warmem Nachhall Ein wärmender, inniger Beitrag der romantischen Männerchorliteratur, der trotz seiner Schlichtheit viel musikalische Tiefe besitzt.

The licence covers rehearsing and performing through Chorilo. External performance rights (e.g. GEMA, PRS — where applicable) remain unaffected.
