Permission required: Cashbook – Create & edit transactions
What is this?
Under General you set two things for the whole cash book:
- Currency: applies to all accounts, transactions, the overview and the reports.
- Tax rates: these rates are offered under VAT rate when you add a transaction. The defaults are 19%, 7% and 0%. You can change them, remove them and add up to ten rates, for example 15% for GST in New Zealand.
How to change the settings
- Open Ensembles, choose your choir and go to Cash book > Settings > General.
- Choose the currency. You can search by name or code.
- Adjust the tax rates. Add rate adds another one, the bin icon removes one.
- Click Save.

Tips
- Reports such as the annual report and the cash audit report come out in your language and in the chosen currency. The Anlage EÜR and the DATEV export stay in German.
- Invoices have their own currency under Settings > Invoices.
Frequently asked questions
Which currency is set by default?▾
Euro. You can choose any other currency under **Currency**, for example Swiss francs or New Zealand dollars.
Are existing amounts converted?▾
No. Chorilo only shows all amounts in the new currency. It is best to change the currency before you add your first transactions.
What happens to transactions whose tax rate I remove?▾
Nothing. Rates already booked stay as they are. The removed rate is just no longer offered for new transactions.
