Folders in an album

What is this?

An album can contain folders, such as “Rehearsal”, “Concert” and “Backstage”. The folders appear above the photos in the album, each with the number of items inside. A folder opens like an album within the album. Folders can contain more folders.

How to create a folder

1. On the web, open the album under “Media”.
2. Click ··· at the top and then “New folder”. If there are folders already, you also find the “New folder” tile next to them.
3. Enter a name and confirm.

The new folder is created where you are: in the album or in the open folder.

Opening folders and going back

• Click or tap a folder to open it.
• On the web, the line above the folders shows where you are, for example “Summer concert › Rehearsal › Soprano”. Click a part of it to go back there.
• In the app, the back arrow takes you up one level.

Putting media into a folder

• Upload: Whatever you upload lands in the folder that is open. This applies on the web and in the app.
• Drag: On the web, drag a photo onto a folder tile.
• Move: Open a photo and click the folder icon at the top. Choose the folder and click “Move here”. This is also how you move media back into the album.

Renaming or deleting a folder

Open the folder and choose “Rename folder” or “Delete folder” in the ··· menu at the top. Deleting also removes all subfolders, photos and videos inside.

Downloading

“Download all” packs what you are looking at, including all subfolders, into a ZIP file. The folders are kept as folders in the ZIP file.

Permissions

Creating and renaming folders requires Create & edit albums & media. Deleting folders requires Delete albums & media. Members who may upload to an album can move their own media.
