Confirm or decline for children

Open the event, tap Confirm or Decline and pick yourself and your children in the "Who do you want to respond for?" window. Several people at once.

What is this?

As a linked parent you respond to events for your children, exactly as you do for yourself. The only difference is a small window: Who do you want to respond for?

How to respond for your children

  1. Open the event on the web under Events or in the app in the Events tab.
  2. Tap Confirm, Decline or Maybe.
  3. Select the people in the window. It shows a checkbox for you and one for each of your children in this choir, with the current status next to each name.
  4. Confirm. The response applies to all ticked people at once.

Petra ticks Lina and Jonas for the Friday event and confirms. In the participant list both show as confirmed.

Reason for declining

If the choir requires a reason when declining, you enter it in the same window. It applies to all ticked people. If you want a different reason for Lina than for Jonas, respond twice.

Rules apply per person

All rules of the event apply to your children just as they do to you:

  • Response deadline: once it has passed, no more responses are possible for children either.
  • Participant limit: if only two places are left and you confirm for three people, one person gets "no places left". The other responses stay saved.
  • Maybe: only if the choir director has enabled it for the event.

You see the result per name, not as a whole.

When the child responds themselves

Lina (12) has her own login and can change her response herself at any time. Then the last change counts. The attendance history shows both entries, Petra's response with the note "changed by Petra Müller". In the participant list itself there is no marker.

When the window appears

The window only appears for events from choirs in which you have linked children. In all other choirs you respond as usual.

For events shared by several choirs, it is enough if you and the child are together in one of them.

Good to know

  • Your children's open responses count on your start page too, so you do not miss anything.
  • Comments under the event are always written under your own name, not as your child.
  • Two parents may both respond. The last change counts.

Frequently asked questions

The "Who do you want to respond for?" window does not appear for me. Why?
It only appears if you have linked children in the choir the event belongs to. For all other events you respond just for yourself as usual.
Lina declined herself, I confirmed for her. Which counts?
The last change counts. Children with their own login can change their response themselves at any time. The history shows both entries.
I confirmed for both children, but only Lina is on the list.
The participant limit was probably reached. The result comes per person, so "Jonas: no places left", while Lina's confirmation stays saved.
Does the choir see that I responded for my child?
The participant list only shows the child's status. In the attendance history the choir director sees "changed by Petra Müller".
