Import sheet music from another event

What is this?

With Import sheet music you take over the complete piece selection of another event into the current one — with a single click. Saves time for recurring concert programs, dress rehearsals with the same program as the performance, or rehearsal series that build on each other.

How to import sheet music

1. Open the event you want to import the sheet music into.
2. Scroll to the "Sheet music" section in the event detail.
3. Click "Import sheet music" (next to "Add sheet music").
4. Choose the source event from the list — you can filter by title, date or event type.
5. Optional: deselect individual pieces of the source event if you do not want to take all of them.
6. Click "Import". The pieces appear immediately in the sheet music list, members are notified.

What is carried over

• Link to all selected pieces from the source event
• Order of the pieces (can be adjusted afterwards)
• Notes per piece, if maintained in the source event
• Voice assignment, if relevant

Event-specific data like date, time, venue or participant list is not carried over — only the sheet music links.

Typical use cases

• Dress rehearsal before the performance: take over the identical program from the concert
• Recurring concert series: take the program from the last Advent concert for the next one
• Sectional rehearsals: transfer the piece selection of the tutti rehearsal to the sectionals
• Tour concerts: the same program at different performance dates

Permission

You need the Create & edit events permission on the target event. On the source event, View events is enough so you can see and select the sheet music list.

Tips

• Create program templates as events that you import from again and again — for example "Standard Advent concert" or "Wedding program".
• Combine import with Duplicate event: when duplicating, the sheet music is also copied directly.
• Tidy up after the import — remove pieces not needed for this specific event.
• Re-sort at the end if the concert order at the current event differs from the source event.
