What is this?

The address book is the central place for all external contacts of your choir: concert promoters, sponsors, banks, insurances, honorary guests, guest musicians, suppliers and authorities — with links to invoices, transactions and events.

What you find here

  • List of all contacts with name/organisation, tags, email, phone and city
  • Tag filter: show only sponsors or only banks with one click
  • Search: by name, organisation, email or city
  • Archive toggle: include or hide archived contacts
  • New contact button for members with edit rights

Tips

  • Use multiple tags: a savings bank can be "Bank" AND "Sponsor" — set both rather than duplicate the contact.
  • Keep IBAN clean: when you automate SEPA debits or donation receipts later, IBAN is your key field.
  • Donation consent: this field reminds you that written consent from the donor is on file — Chorilo does not store the scanned document.

Frequently asked questions

Who can see the address book?▾
Only members with the "contacts.view" permission — typically admins and editors, plus anyone you grant the right to via a custom permission group. Regular members do not see contacts.
How are contacts different from members?▾
Members are people with a login account who sing or participate in the choir. Contacts are external people or organisations you deal with (promoter, bank, guest musician). Contacts do not have an account.
Can a contact have multiple tags?▾
Yes. Tags are multi-select: a bank can be tagged as "Bank" and "Sponsor" at the same time, so you do not need duplicate entries.

Manage tags

Import contacts (Excel/CSV)

Download the Excel template, fill it in and use the import wizard. Duplicates are detected automatically by email or IBAN — choose per row: create new, update or skip.

Export contacts as Excel

Download the address book as Excel or CSV, optionally filtered by tag or archive status. Every export is logged in the security audit log (GDPR relevance).

Issue a donation receipt for a contact

Generate a German donation receipt (§ 10b EStG) directly from a contact's detail view. Donor name and address are filled in automatically and the receipt is linked to the transaction.
